We stayed here on a half board deal via booking.com for our silver wedding anniversary and we were very impressed. We were given an upgraded room in the manor house - a junior suite which was excellent, a large room with bay windows overlooking the fields and beyond, large seating area, large bathroom, bathrobes. We were welcomed by Isabelle on the desk who was excellent, very friendly and welcoming, in fact all the staff were. The food was delicious and lots of healthy choices too (I'm following Zoe and found there were high scoring options). The grounds are nice to walk around and it was peaceful at night. The pool and steam room was great too. Everything was very clean and the manor house is really lovely, very historic (ask at reception and they'll show you a large book with all the history) and had a beautiful smell. I nearly forgot to say they'd also decorated our room with petals on the bed and swans towels, gave us a card and cake treats, very thoughtful. Our stay was perfect and I would highly recommend.

I enjoyed using the jacuzzi and sauna/steam room. The bar is great with nice seating and a library. The bar terrace is fab with lots of seats and cushions overlooking a the vast estate greenery and we could spotted cows gazing from there. Super polite and accommodating receptionists Nice Italian garden right next to our building with some egg chair swings Homemade pizzas were delicious! The staff were so nice and helpful! Shoutout to the receptionist guy who greeted us on Friday and the bar lady who opened it at noon on Sunday who was so brilliant and thoughtful with helping us order food. Thank you!

Breakfast was more than adequate. The setting was lovely, as was the main house and the cottages looked charming. Sadly my room was in a soulless cinderblock addition, though comfortable and clean. Clearly, this property needs some care and attention - loose brickwork and pavers throughout the pergola area were outright dangerous. Woodwork around doors and windows in chipped, scrappy condition in high use areas. The pond was in dire need of cleaning as well. Staff were polite and professional and service was good. The superb location is what recommends this property.

Liked the location, as very close for the event we were going to Steventon Hall. The look of the hotel both exterior and interior is very impressive with lots of green space outside. Lovely amount of rooms available downstairs to meet fellow guests. The decor and the comfort of the furniture was great and liked the many outside areas we could use with tables and seating. The bedrooms themselves were a good size with comfortable bed, and nice that you can open the windows.

My two friends and I stayed last year. We live relatively close by, but wanted some 'chill-out and chat time' so booked again for one night (three rooms) this year. The rooms were great, close together and with showers. Very clean and tidy. Love the chic elegance and calming atmosphere of the house. It lends itself as an ideal base to re-charge your batteries. We also like that there is a variety of parking spaces and a pool. The staff are always really kind and helpful.
